Frequently asked questions
How is age calculated?
The calculator uses calendar math: the year count increments only on or after your birthday, not on a rolling 365.25-day basis. Months and days are calculated from the most recent completed month and day.
What happens if I was born on 29 February?
In non-leap years your birthday is treated as 1 March for the next-birthday countdown, which matches how most legal systems handle leap-day birthdays.
Does the calculator account for timezones?
It uses your local timezone. The "now" reference is read from your system clock, so make sure your OS time and timezone are correct if the live seconds look off.
Is my birth date stored anywhere?
No. The calculator runs entirely in your browser and does not persist the input between visits.
